Naomi Shanti

Naomi Shanti is owner and artist of Alchemy Tattoo and Fine Art located in Ocala, Florida. She relocated back to Florida 3 years ago, after experiencing many years in different areas of the United States, most recently from Minnesota. Naomi has a bachelors in Studio Art from the University of Minnesota Morris.

Naomi’s current work focuses on the conceptual idea of relationships with; and immortalizing the “Everyday” women. The use of painting with watercolor and mixed media on wood, accompanied by monotype and screenprint on wood are unconventional by traditional standards. The processes and how it relates to the wood parallels the conceptual idea of relationships within the subject. Her goal is to achieve a visual, evocative story of the female subject told through painting and printmaking.
