When I was 15 I came across a college humanities book with Michelangelo's "Pieta" in it and at that moment something in me couldn't believe that a human being created such a incredible piece of art. I thought, if he can do it, I want to do it as well. Ambitious I know. The beginning of my lifelong passion and obsession with art began with this sculpture, Michelangelo's "Pieta" I like to time to pause and paint it every so often as a reminder of the reason I began this journey in the first place and try get closer to my goal of creating the divine the way he did. Coming back to this and painting it again is something kinda romantic to me... Revisiting this piece will always be part of my journey till I die. Reminds me where I started, where I am now and what I want to achieve in my future.
